THE FASHION SHOW is the inspiring and intimate story of three individuals with disabilities who prepared for and took part in the 2010 Fashion Show for All Abilities in Madison, WI. The three stars are: Mike Millar, Wendy Parks and Lexi McSwain. Directed by veteran independent filmmaker Kelley Baker, produced by Jess Haven and edited by Jim Carrier, the film was produced for the nonprofit Wisconsin Film School and partially underwritten by a Medicaid grant that supported 12 film students, including students with disabilities. The Fashion Show for all Abilities is an annual event created by the Waisman Center of the University of Wisconsin, a world-renowned center for the study of brain function and disabilities.

Becoming comfortable with new equipment can be a make it, or break it moment. Experimenting with new camera angles and shutter speeds and lighting techniques is all part of the fun for what eventually becomes final films.

Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) is a unique youth run service event that involves over 2,000 youth in Dane County every year. This year GYSD is April 29, 30 and May 1. Throughout the weekend there will be a variety of service projects that youth and their families can participate in. On Exchange's first trip to South America, he stayed with host families for a month primarily touring hospitals, and schools doing community building with Rotary International. A large part of these trips are the relationship building experiences, and he was happy to have been invited to witness a local religious ceremony as a part of that exchange. Ayahuasca has been used through Central and South America for as long as Europeans have been there to marvel at it. Obviously it's been used for longer than that, but for now let's say that it's at least that old. Primarily used as religious sacrament in churches such as Santo Daime, it has recently garnered attention for its anti-depressive properties and has been used in therapeutic settings as well. Santo Daime was founded as a church in the north of Brazil in the 1930s and combines Catholicism, with an African spiritualism and an indigenous shamanism. Some churches such as Ceu Sagrado in Sorocaba, SP Brazil host "works" twice a month for up to 500 members.

A collective of community activists, famers, and artists descended on Seattle for their semi-regular conference of creating social change. It wasn't all work and no play however. In between the collaborative sessions, some of the best team-building happened leaving their mark on the city.
